Saints: Precious in His Sight

Saints: Precious in His Sight

“Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his faithful servants.”
— Psalm 116:15

Devotion:
Every round eventually comes to an end. The final putt drops, the score is tallied, and the discs are packed away. But the end of the round isn’t the end of the story—it’s a moment to reflect on the journey, the growth, and the One who walked beside us through every throw.

Psalm 116:15 reminds us that even the hardest endings are precious to God. Death—something we naturally fear or resist—is not tragic in His sight when it involves one of His own. To the Lord, it’s the moment His faithful servant comes home. What the world sees as loss, He sees as reunion.

On the course and in life, we spend so much time trying to make every shot count. But this verse points us to something greater: a reminder that our faithfulness matters more than our final score. The life lived for God—through the highs, the out-of-bounds, and the birdies alike—is the one He calls precious.

So keep throwing. Keep walking the fairway He’s set before you. And when your final hole comes, may your round be remembered not for perfection, but for perseverance in faith.

Throw & Grow Challenge:
Pause today and thank God for someone who finished their race in faith—a parent, friend, pastor, or mentor. Honor their legacy by playing your next round with gratitude and courage, knowing that our faithful finish is precious to Him.
